Because we sell parts from over 100 different manufacturers, prices and availability are always subject to change. Double Nickel reserves the right to change prices, terms, specifications and other information without notice. While every effort is made to ensure accuracy, Double Nickel is not responsible for errors or omissions in our catalog.
Most orders placed before 2pm are shipped the same day.
SHIPPING CHARGES (USA)
GENERAL
All shipping charges are to be paid by customer. Included in the shipping charges is a charge for insurance on orders that total over $100. This charge is based on the total value of the order. We ship via UPS and US Postal Service. NOTE If you need something in a hurry we offer UPS overnight and 2nd day air at an extra cost. All air orders must be called into our store before 3PM in order to ship that day. Also, paint cannot be shipped by air.
CREDIT CARD ORDERS
We only accept MasterCard and Visa.
PREPAID ORDERS
A minimum shipping charge of $10.00 is charged on orders of $20 or less. If you choose to prepay for your items please call before sending a check or money order. It is in your best interest to get the current prices and correct shipping fees. Failure to send the correct amount for the parts you order will only delay the shipping of these parts. All air and truck freights must be prepaid--no exceptions.
OVERSIZED ITEMS
The size of the box will determine if it will be sent UPS or truck freight. You will be notified at the time of your order if it will be necessary to ship your items by truck.
C.O.D. ORDERS
PLEASE NOTE UPS does not collect cash on C.O.D.s. This means that you must get a money order or certified check for the exact amount of your purchase to pay the UPS driver. You must call in your order to get the total. C.O.D. orders pay all shipping charges. A $12.50 C.O.D. fee per tag will be charged in addition to the regular shipping fees. This means if an order must be packaged in several boxes, each box will be assessed a $12.50 C.O.D. fee. There will be no C.O.D.s on truck freight, anything shipped outside the USA, special orders, upholstery, or air shipments. You must call Double Nickel in order to place a C.O.D. order.
TRUCK FREIGHT
These large parts, too big or heavy for UPS, must be prepaid or paid for by credit card. NO C.O.D.s! Used parts that are too large for UPS will not be sent via truck freight.

We accept VISA and MasterCard.
PREPAID ORDERS
Personal checks are welcome, but new customers can expect a delay until the check clears the bank. Do not send cash through the mail. Purchases made with a Money Order or Cashiers Check will be shipped immediately.
C.O.D. ORDERS
These orders will be shipped for money order or cashiers check only. You must call in the order and we will call you back with the C.O.D. total. Check privileges may be granted to long-term customers at our discretion if we have an approved credit card on file. Refusal of C.O.D. shipment will result in loss of C.O.D. privilege. If you want fast service, C.O.D.s are discouraged.
FOREIGN ORDERS
US funds only. Orders must be prepaid or paid for by MasterCard or Visa. No other method is accepted.
DAMAGED SHIPMENTS
DAMAGE CLAIMS
You must make all claims to Carrier immediately (UPS, Parcel Post, Trucking Co.) They are responsible and will notify us and pick up the damaged item at no cost to you. On truck freight shipments, do not sign for a shipment without first inspecting it. If there is damage, DO NOT ship damaged parts back to us. Shipping the damaged parts back to us may jeopardize your claim. This means we may not be able to reimburse you. Keep in mind that shipping the parts back to us will also cost you additional shipping charges that can be avoided if you follow this return procedure. YOU are responsible to notify the carrier immediately. Keep the package, all packing materials and all of the items together. The carrier will come to your location to inspect the package and its contents, and will return the package to us. We will settle the matter with them and ship a replacement part to you as soon as possible.
RETURNS and EXCHANGES
RETURNS
Call before shipping the part to us. We will discuss the problem with you and issue a Return Authorization. All returns must be accompanied by your instructions and a copy of the original invoice. No returns accepted without Return Authorization. You should write the Return Authorization number on the outside of the box. Any part returned within 60 days will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. No refunds on returns after 60 days. C.O.D.s will NOT be accepted as a way of returning items. Parts must be in new and resalable condition with all original packaging. If it has been installed, it is no longer new. All returns must be shipped back with the freight prepaid, properly packed and insured for the full value.
NON-RETURNABLE ITEMS
No returns on used parts, electrical items, paint, carburetor kits, books, literature, decals, any special order upholstery, or special order item. Should you receive any defective item we will replace it. See below. Some parts will need to be sent to the manufacturer for warranty repairs (radios and radiators for example).
DEFECTIVE PARTS
If you have received a defective part call us immediately. We will exchange the item or refund your money in full within 30 days (this period could be longer according to the particular manufacturers warranty).
MISCELLANEOUS INFORMATION
SHORTAGES
If you find something missing from your shipment, YOU MUST NOTIFY US WITHIN 48 HRS of your delivery. Shortage claims will NOT be accepted after this time. Open and inspect your order immediately when you receive it.

Georgia residents only, add 7% to your order. Include shipping before figuring tax.
WARRANTY
The following is made in lieu of all warranties expressed or implied. Sellers and Manufacturers only obligation shall be to replace product that is proven to be defective. Neither seller nor manufacturer shall be liable for any loss, injury, or damage direct or consequential arising out of the use, misuse or abilities of the product. After installation or use, the user shall assume all risk and liability whatsoever in connection therewith.
USED PARTS
We have a wide selection of used parts. Call or fax us with your needs. No returns on used parts. While we can satisfy most of your used parts needs, please note that in most cases it will take a little longer to ship a used part than an order of new parts from the shelf. This is due to the time it takes to pull and prepare the item for your use, as a good and serviceable used part. No large used parts will be shipped via truck freight.
